In August 2009, the Fort Ord Reuse Authority (FORA) received a grant award from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) in the amount of $6,426,754. These funds were made available to the EDA under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. In addition to the $6,426,754, FORA was required to provide a 50% local match of $6,426,754 for a total amount of $12,853,508. The funding will be invested in the construction of improvements to General Jim Moore Blvd. and Eucalyptus Road.
